My students need these dissection materials, including gloves and 25 dissection kits, to complete their study of anatomy and physiology by exploring sharks in a hands-on dissection process.

Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
Our students come from several different backgrounds and do not have the means to meet the needs of the supply materials for this dissection. We want to give them every opportunity to enjoy learning.
Our students come from everywhere in the district, so we have a variety of low SES students and high SES students all in one classroom.
We are a Pre-AP school and do extensive project/activity-based learning, therefore we do not have textbooks. This might be the only time our students are able to dissect and we want them to enjoy this learning process.
My Project
Our students will work as a small group to dissect sharks. They will have to find and identify different organs and organ systems during the dissection process. This allows them to have a hands-on learning experience and may give students the opportunity to find their inner-scientist. Some of the materials that we are in need of are latex gloves for every student to do the dissection, a dissection kit for all of the lab groups to dissect the sharks, extra scalpels for students to use when dissecting the sharks, extra hand soap for students safety, and plastic bags to put the sharks into. Students need all of these materials to complete this dissection even though some of them only play a minor part in the dissection. We would be so appreciative to receive all of these materials.
This donation would really allow students to dive into their learning and see topics first hand.
They can experience exploration in the science field. For many of them, this will be their only chance to do something of this nature. I would love for these students to be able to find their inner-scientist to see if this is something they might explore as a future career as well.
