Diversity in Reading!

Help me give my students with a few basic needs in the classroom, as well as add some variety to the classroom library! Our school doesn't have a school library so they rely on the classroom books.

My Project

Donating books to our classroom will make a profound difference in my students' learning by providing them with a diverse range of reading materials that cater to various interests, reading levels, and learning styles. Books open doors to new worlds, ideas, and perspectives, fostering both academic growth and a lifelong love for learning. With access to an expanded library, my students will have the opportunity to explore different genres, deepen their comprehension skills, and develop critical thinking abilities. Whether it’s through building vocabulary, improving fluency, or sparking creativity, these books will empower my students to engage more meaningfully with the curriculum and enrich their overall educational experience.

My primary goal for this project is to cultivate a classroom environment that values literacy as a gateway to success.

I want my students to not only meet academic standards but also to feel inspired and confident in their learning journey. By providing them with a wider variety of books, I aim to promote independent reading, encourage curiosity, and foster a sense of agency in their education. What makes my students special is their resilience, creativity, and diverse backgrounds. They are curious, eager to learn, and often face challenges that require extra support and encouragement. With the right resources, I know they will thrive, discovering not only new knowledge but also a sense of empowerment through reading.

My goal for this project is to, also, have some of the basic classroom supply needs met like scissors and dry erase markers. Due to budget cuts, we do not have all the supplies we need for the school year. A supply list was sent home, but unfortunately, not every family is in a position to provide these things. With your help, we can supply our classroom with the basic needs to enhance our learning!
