My Project

My goal as an educator is to cultivate a culturally relevant and inclusive learning community that encourages my students to value their own identities as well as those of others. This includes providing opportunities to become culturally aware and feel represented in literature.

Despite attending a diverse school, some cultures are under-represented in our represented in our school library.

Therefore, giving students access to award-winning novels from diverse cultures will elevate their compassion and thrive in our school community as well as the world.

Students who read these novels, will be able will be able to gain an understanding of themselves and or the world around them.

Helping students see themselves in a multitude of places will to remind students to follow their dreams.
