My Students

I am teaching a great group of second graders this school year. My students are smart, energetic and curious. They love to read and discuss their questions and ideas. I want to inspire them to be thinkers and lifelong learners!

My Project

This project includes new and relevant picture books that provide students with knowledge about the histories, cultures, and contributions of diverse groups, as well as multicultural sets of crayons, markers, and paint. It is not only important for students to learn about different cultures and ethnic groups but to also see themselves in the literature read and art produced in class so they can identify and connect with the characters.

Multiculturalism prepares students to thrive in a diverse world.

These picture books and art supplies will help me teach my students about equality, justice, and equity so students succeed in their academic and personal lives.
