My Project

One of my students’ favorite spots in the classroom is in the library area. I am trying to incorporate more diverse books within the library. It's so important that the students are able to see books that include characters that look just like them.

Books can take us anywhere and children's books are no exception.

Diverse books can show students a variety of different emotions and experiences. They can increase a child's empathy and their awareness about different emotions. The books that are included in this project celebrate diversity and allows the reader to recognize how differences make us special.
