My Students

I have a wonderful class of 16 students who are currently at home due to Covid-19 and school closures. We are a Title I, low income school and most of my students do not have access to technology at home.

I want them to continue learning at home and keep up with skills that are easily forgotten by students with severe learning disabilities.

My students also want to continue learning and be able to participate in our class Google Hangout meetings.

My Project

My students come from very diverse backgrounds. I want to broaden our classroom library with more books that showcase their ethnicities as well as their strengths.

These books will be used for distance learning (then taken to our classroom library when school resumes in person), I will be able to read to my groups then have discussions and assignments to go along with the books.

The pocket chart will help me while teaching from home (and in school) to keep all of my small groups organized. Students will also be able to see the chart on our video chats to also help keep them organized.
