Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our classroom is a diverse community, and it's vital that our bookshelves reflect the rich cultural heritage of our Latino and Black students with unique abilities. By providing books that showcase diverse characters, stories, and abilities, we can create a more inclusive and engaging learning environment. In addition, the art materials can help us embrace our uniqueness.

We are requesting a selection of books and art materials that highlight the experiences and uniqueness of our students.

For many of our students this is their first school experience. We love to read to them and want to instill a love for literacy. We want to bring more books that are a reflection of them onto our book shelves. The art paper can help support our love for art as well as create many self-portraits into our classroom enviroment.
