My Students

I have a very dynamic group of 7th and 8th graders for ELA this year. They come from diverse backgrounds from all over the world. In ELA we get a chance to read about and explore a variety of ideas, discuss them in-depth, and write about them.

My task this year is to foster my students' lives as both readers and writers.

I am excited about the opportunity to guide their growth this year in ELA. It's going to be a great year.

My Project

This year a majority of my students have been learning from home. My school has distributed materials to students this year to support their at-home learning. My classroom will need a number of supplies to support students when they return to school in the fall. As I start to plan for the fall, I want to make sure that my students have a welcoming library full of diverse stories ready for them in our ELA classroom.

A classroom library with diverse, engaging books will be important to help get students back into the swing of at-school reading and learning.

I know that these books will engage my students as they return to the classroom. I look forward to sharing these amazing books with them!
