Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our class is comprised of twenty five, excited, fourth grade inquirers who are jubilant to embark upon this new learning year. We want to support and nourish their new classroom experience. They enjoy flexible learning options that are provided in the workshop curriculum which require a highly organized environment.

My students are caring, gregarious, open minded, balanced, and reflective.

They are eager to begin the new year and thrilled to explore new learning options in the classroom. They possess an inspirational attitude towards learning. Their love of learning is visible everyday and is very inspirational!

My Project

With the start of a new school year, we are looking to add more diverse books to our library! This project was created to add more diverse reads to our classroom library that are on various levels that students can read independently during reading workshop. Providing diverse reads will allow students the opportunity to connect in a meaningful way to a global community.

Books can be like mirrors that provide an opportunity for students to see themselves in the literature.

This project will also provide our class with disinfectant wipes that we are using very frequently throughout the day. We use them two or three times a day to wipe down all of the high touch surfaces in our room and to wipe off our learning tables. Also, this project will fund a large digital clock that will help us stay on track with our busy fourth grade schedule!
