My Project
As a long time learner of English and as a teacher of English at the high school level, I know that in our classrooms we are still reading the same traditional text that have always been read at school. While these texts have an enormous value for our students, they often leave out a large majority of our student learners on a cultural level.
Students deserve to read and see themselves in the books they have access to in class.
Providing culturally and ethnically diverse texts for my students allows all of my students to enjoy the literature they choose to read.
