My Project

My 2nd grade students are all achieving above grade level in reading. I need books to help challenge them while also keeping them engaged. I want them to develop a love for reading and quality literature.

Our class library and book studies need more books that represent the cultures in my class.

I have a beautifully diverse classroom and I don't want them growing up feeling like they are "missing" from literature.

To do this, I need a better selection of books in our classroom library. I am working on adding different genres, literature with diverse cultures, nonfiction, and popular or award winning titles. I would love to add these titles to our library because I know these books will help engage my bright and curious students.
