My Project

I want to provide my students with diverse texts in the classroom. This will help engage them during independent reading and produce lifelong readers. The hope is to have more relevant texts in my students' hands. When students have books near them, they are more likely to read. I want to provide a bookshelf that covers a diverse range of topics, perspectives, and peoples. These handful of books will be a great start to an engaging classroom library. These materials will help students empathize with different stories and offer other perspectives to life. The main outcome of the project is for an improvement in student literacy. I want students to enjoy reading again!
