My Students

This is my second year teaching kindergarten in Minnesota. More than half of my students come from low-income households. I am dedicated to seeing my students achieve at the highest level.

My students exhibit perseverance and resilience on a daily basis.

They are strong and courageous, and deserve amazing opportunities and resources.

My Project

One of the most important parts of our day in kindergarten is purposeful play. Now more than ever, my kindergartners need time to play and engage with each other. Unfortunately, with the pandemic, students are not playing with each other after school as much as they used to. Purposeful play gives students the opportunity to learn and discover.

Over winter break, I went home to NJ and brought back my Barbie Dream House from 1979.

I would love to set it up in my classroom as part of our purposeful play centers. I would like the dolls my students play with to reflect themselves and am pleased to see so many more options available.
