My Project
These diverse books will be so beneficial in our very diverse classroom. Students will be able to see themselves in these stories, as well as see each other. These diverse books will help students communicate about not only their differences but their similarities as well. This is a great window into others lives and experiences as well as a mirror to students’ lives and experiences. Seeing themselves in books is very powerful for young children. This is a great opportunity for social emotional learning within the classroom as well.
