This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have a class with a great diversity of students. They all have one thing in common, they all have interesting stories to tell. Their experiences and understanding of others is remarkable. I want to give them the opportunity to read books that are also about remarkable people with similar experiences as them.
Diversity is important in order to understand others, to understand oneself and to live in a peaceful harmonious environment.
I want my students to read books that reflect them, the diversity in their community and the world, and that show that our differences is what makes us special.
