Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach at a low income school. My kids are excited about learning and about being in school. The kids love learning and in order to keep them engaged, I want to fill the shelves with books that reflect who they are and their experiences. The books on my list mirror my students and show what people can do if they are persistent.

On the list, I also included a couple of social and emotional items, I am in the process of building a calming area for my students and want them to have different tools and resources to help them self-soothe.
