Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our K-5 students are enthusiastic learners who had to adapt to remote learning quickly. The majority of students at our Title I school live in low-income housing in Brooklyn, New York and many lack access to digital devices and resources. Our students welcome the opportunities to use and learn with digital devices that help them acquire the digital skills with the much needed technology.

My Project

These devices will help students access the digital learning platforms and allow them to participate in remote instruction. It will teach our Kindergartners to work with apps and video as well as accessing learning apps.

Teaching digital literacy to our Kindergarten students will set them up for a lifetime worth of benefits in a world with increasing need to navigate complex technology.

This project will support the digital literacy curriculum and directly impact student's learning outcomes in all academic areas. Thank you for your continuing support. The students and their families are extremely grateful!
