My Project

Everyone knows reading is essential and vital in our world. However, they're children who are unable to read and do not have the resources to support and promote reading both at home and in school.

This project was created to provide my students a variety of books that will both interest them and encourage them to read in class during our stop and read times, small groups, independent reading and at home with with book baggies.

My students are a mixture of early and intermediate learners/readers. My students love reading and being read too, but we have a very limited class library that can not support their new found love for books.

My dream is to create a space in my class where students can both learn to read/build their reading skills and dive into new adventures. Providing students with a variety of reading materials that can support learning, comprehension and social emotional skills. Having a variety of books that students can independently choose from, is a great way to increase their interest in reading and reading abilities that will help students grow and succeed.
