Help me give my students distance learning tool kits with markers, pencils, pens, and highlighters so they will be prepared for our activities/projects, as well as one webcam so my students can see and hear me on Zoom.

My Students
I am a kindergarten teacher who teaches 24 curious, enthusiastic students. My students represent a variety of cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. My school gets very little funding from the district, and almost everything for our classroom is funded by kind parents, generous donors, and myself.
The excitement that lights my students’ faces when they learn something new is a constant inspiration for my teaching.
My students enjoy interactive experiences, and their participation strengthens their learning. We will be continuing distance learning when we return in the fall, which makes it much more challenging to engage kindergartners. It is my goal to engage and excite them to learn, even virtually.
My Project
After teaching with distance learning this past spring, I realized that many of my students did not have basic supplies at home, including crayons, markers, scissors, and glue. This made our writing, math, and art projects very difficult because I wanted to do activities in which all of my students could participate.
I vowed that I would make learning tool kits for each of my students if we had distance learning again, and due to the pandemic, that's how we are starting our new school year.
I already bought many supplies for my incoming students, such as paper, boxes, and crayons, but I quickly realized that there are too many supplies for me to afford on my own. So that's why I decided to write this DonorsChoose grant. I am hoping that generous donors such as yourself would like to help me provide these supplies to my students.
The webcam will allow me to use my home computer to have daily Zoom meetings with my students as it provides a camera as well as a microphone. Having participated in distance learning in the spring, I quickly realized the importance of seeing each other’s faces. I want to support my kindergartners through this difficult learning process by seeing each other and talking to one another every day.
