My Students

I teach in a 4th grade ICT classroom in a Title I school in Maspeth, Queens. There are currently 32 students in my classroom coming from many different backgrounds. In our class we embrace different learning styles and personalities. My co-teacher and I will be teaching both in person and remotely this year. That means students need to be set up for success inside and outside of the classroom! I want to give the students materials that will help them when they are at home, such as head phones to avoid distractions, white boards so we can easily interact with each other, and keyboards for students who need it!

The resources we are requesting will help set up my students for a successful school year, despite all the challenges that distance learning brings.

My Project

This project is a collection of items and resources that will help the students learn virtually, or in person! The Tiger Rising is the first book we will be reading as a class. Some students will be learning from home and would benefit from having the book in front of them, as they listen along to the class virtually.

The keyboards and headphones will keep the students focused when learning from home and allow for easier typing.

The educational games such as Blurt, Pizza Fraction Fun and Multiplication Bingo will allow us to play together as the students eat their lunch each day.

The motivational posters will remind our students to stay positive throughout the day as we grow in our community.
