My Students

I teach 4-5-year-old young children with a variety of intellectual, physical, and sensory impairments in our State Preschool Program. My students are focusing on their development. The children are learning to engage through communicating and socializing and with their peers. We work with students individually to help them communicate their personal goals and visions for their future.

Due to the above variables, student and teacher supplies are often depleted, thereby affecting our abilities to keep up with the latest modes of learning thru technology and other large educational ticket items.

Most of my students are ELD learners and I believe that technology benefits these students at this time of age when technology learned all around them. Please take my students’ socioeconomic needs into consideration when reflecting on my project. Children are our future and now more than ever, the rigorous teaching of effective and current technology provides a strong link in student learning.

My Project

My students will be able to engage in many different learning strategies while participating effectively during our zoom class sessions. These supplies that I order will help my students by giving them a sense of joy when they receive the supplies at home. Due to my students' age and language abilities, the materials I am requesting will aid them in acquiring their second language in a meaningful way and offer assistance in their fine motor skills while they learn to write. Parents and students have a hard time accessing some of these supplies due to the school closure because of Covid 19, and any combination of other hardships.

I would be using the Home Learning Kits, Jumbo Magnetic TenFrames, Write Wipe BroadTip Markers Class Pack, and Magnetic Write Wipe Board during my zoom lesson to help teach my students some math and language and writing concepts.

Also, will be mailing out these items; AllInOne Write Wipe Kit, My First Draw Write Journal, DoubleSided Magnetic Write Wipe Board, Writing Claws, and EasyGrip Triangular Pencils to my student homes so they can be able to utilize these items during our zoom lesson.
