My Students

My students are the sweetest, most accepting, loving little Kindergartners on the planet! As I have been their teacher, I have learned so much about how capable they are of caring for each other and others in our school, which has been my greatest joy this year. In our classroom, we take a lot of pride in our ability to love one another, and just as much pride in how we keep our classroom, which we fondly refer to as "home." By creating an open, caring environment within the 4 walls of my room, we have experienced so many beautiful memories together that I hope will last them through all of their schooling careers!

As we face uncertain times, I want my students to know they are cared for, considered, and heard.

That is why I want to create this project, to remind my little loves how special they are to me!

My Project

During these uncertain times, schools were told to shut down and I had less than 5 hours to say goodbye to my students and try to prepare them for distance learning. Three weeks later, and my students have run out of the supplies I sent home, and they don't have access to simple materials such as crayons, scissors, or even paper to write on. The creation of these distance learning kits would be an incredible resource for the students in my classroom and help us continue our learning, even when we are not together.
