My Students

"Where we start is not where we will finish," is the perfect statement to describe my students. They are often thought of as troublemakers; however, my students are bright and want to learn. We work hard to dispel that stereotype.

The students in my class are economically challenged.

Despite this set back, I have seen some students come in below grade-level and leave scholars. However, it took a lot of work on their part. My school is in an inner city neighborhood and there are many who believe the only way out is through sports, but I say no.

My Project

Our district has decided to exercise caution and continue distance learning for now. With that being the case, I will need to update my teaching repertoire. We will innovate lessons by using interactive resources. I will be using the webcam to host video calls so the students can see me as I see them. I will be using the pen to show students step by step directions on the screen in real time.

This is a time like no other, but I will rise to the occasion to see my students succeed.
