Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are high-school-aged children who volunteer their time after school for various activities. They enjoy sports medicine and oftentimes stay after school to help their fellow students with medical care. These medical magnet students are working hard to gain experience in the medical field and are studying a lot. They take advanced science classes and are some of the hardest working kids at our school. They are constantly helping others and pushing each other to do more to serve our school community.

These students often are leaders among their peers and are ready to lend a helping hand to others!

Their selflessness is inspiring daily and keeps everyone at the school motivated to do more and work as a team!

My Project

This project will enable students to complete their distance learning at home by providing materials like pencils and more to the students! I will be making a gift bag for each student using the Kraft paper bags and decorate them using the crayons and stickers. Once the gift bags are ready, students will be able to pick up the bags drive-through style in the front of the school. Other materials that will be included in the bags are already in my classroom. Things like erasers, colored pencils, pencil sharpeners will all be in the bags as well. These school supplies will help students to feel more cared for and give them a stronger connection to our distance learning classroom.
