Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
On March 13 the schools in Houston closed due to the pandemic. It is very frustrating for many students as the school is the window into the world where not only they can learn, acquire new knowledge through play, games, hands-on activities, books, various activities, and day-to-day interaction with their teacher and classmates, but it is also a platform for social and emotional growth, a place to have fun and develop at the same time.
Most kids are at home with their parents or just a grandparent trying to keep ends met, trying to survive in this difficult time.
The only technology they have is a phone and even some don't have a phone that would let them connect and learn distantly. They do not have books, paper, crayons, pens, glue, or any educational material. They are stuck with severe reality of lockdown, fears of corona monster, and uncertainty.
My Project
Many of the students do not have technology to learn from home. Please help students to have their dream come true.
They need tools to be able to learn and connect to the classroom!
They will be able to receive highly quality education from teachers; they will have access to online resources; they will be able to do their homework! They will be able to receive feedback on their work and make progress despite any crisis or any corona monsters. This technology will be the window into virtual classroom! thank you!
