Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are in a worldwide pandemic. We have been away from our school and classroom for more than 7 weeks. My students have adapted to their new learning environment. My students and I have virtual meetings on Zoom twice a week. We connect and learn in new ways. I also use other technologies such as a document camera and an iPad to demonstrate during the lessons. It is amazing to see how many students connect week after week. They are still engaged in their learning.

My Project

My incredible students have been using Edmodo, EdPuzzle, Edgenuity, Explore Learning, Remind, Flocabulary, Brainpop and many other platforms to enhance our communication and learning. We have used other technologies to enhance our learning such as an iPad with a pencil and document camera.

This project will provide a laptop, so that I can use these amazing tools to assist my students with their remote learning experiences and keep them engaged in these challenging times.

It will also enhance our classroom experience when we are able to go back to school.
