Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My scholars come from the inner city and are economically disadvantaged, however I teach them to have that grit and follow your dreams with endless possibilities.

Covid-19 is a new challenge that has brought us into uncharted territory, with our low-income students not prepared for it.

We are learning differently and in new ways but with the same goal in mind. I always tell my 5th graders, "Readers are leaders and reading is the foundation of academic success.

My Project

The document camera will aid in my instruction. I am currently do reading lessons but I wish I could display. I can put my book use my fiction close reading discussion clips so the delivery is not so jagged.

Having the right tools can break or make your lesson and unfortunately we have more competition with their home setting.

It is imperative to capture their attention and hold on to it. The chart paper and colorful makers will help me make anchor charts where I can display the objective we are learning or important academic words.
