My students need dissecting kits, including the preserved specimens. They will also need aprons, so that they may practice their lab safety procedures in the lab.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
My students are amazing kids that have overcome so much in their day to day lives and seem to thrive with educators that surround them with support, kindness and a passion for learning. They are from many different cultures, home environments, and ethnicities. They strive to do their best in class and are excited about taking their rightful place as tomorrow's leaders. They amaze and rejuvenate me everyday that I am able to learn from them, as I teach Biology and many other skills that will help them be successful citizens.
My Project
My students will be able to explore the various body systems in an exciting and interactive dissection. For most students, this may be their first and only experience with an animal/organism that shares similarities to humans. My students look forward to dissections all year and enjoy having the time to analyze and investigate what it is truly like to live the life of a researcher, even if just for a moment. However, if this project helps to spark the interest in just a few, who might become the next innovative scientists that discover cures to some of the tragic and horrendous diseases that we know, what a wonderful investment this would be!
