My students are outstanding young women and young men. They have done their best to follow social distancing guidelines for over a year. Our school is located in one of the areas of our city that had the highest positivity rate. My students have endured so much during this pandemic.
My students can't afford disposable masks, and they keep reusing the same disposable masks every day.
We want to return to in-person learning and keep our students stay safe. Please help us give our students disposable masks.
My Project
My students were really happy to return to in-person learning. They wear their masks all day. Most of my students are very compliant and they do their best to wear their masks properly. However, with the normal wear and tear masks become loose and uncomfortable.
My students wear the same disposable mask for weeks.
Having an extra mask to switch during the school day, will keep my students comfortable throughout the day. The school building is hot and their masks get wet with perspiration and during lunch.
My students want to safely return to school. Let's help them stay safe and healthy with reusable masks.
