Displaying Creative Math Projects

Help me give my students color ink for my printer, transparency film, cardstock paper, photo paper, and heat transfer paper to take math outside the classroom.

My Project

These supplies will be used as we complete multiple math projects this semester. First, the cardstock paper, transparency film, and color ink will be used in an interdisciplinary project where students take a real-life picture and recreate it using graphs. Their graphs will be showcased in a culminating museum display for the community to see. Second, the color ink and heat transfer paper will be used to make bags, t-shirts, etc. with student-created images from math class. These supplies will also be used to make math escape rooms, scavenger hunts, and solve math mysteries!

It is time to think outside the textbook!

My students are diverse in their interests and abilities; these supplies give them creative freedom to express themselves through math! Young adults need the chance to view math through their own lens, and these projects do just that.
