This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Although Physics can be an intimidating subject, I try to show my students that it can be fun and exciting! I have many engaging gadgets, demos, and models to show them, like a loop-de-loop roller coaster and a mechanized model of the solar system. Unfortunately, I have no place to put them and they get tossed in a locker, not seeing light for 50 weeks in a year.

I want to display these models all year long, so that it will spark students' curiosity and inspire questions.

I noticed that when I do have them out, students immediately gravitate toward them and start playing with it. Learning moments like these make teaching so much more authentic and individualized. Though it doesn't sound sexy, furniture and storage make a huge difference in enhancing the learning environment.
