Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My third grade students are active and enjoy exploring. They are imaginative and fun-loving kids. My students miss their friends, teachers, and staff. Many of my students have difficulty learning online for different reasons. Some depend on worksheet packets and whatever books they have at home.

Despite the hardships they are facing with school being closed, they are eager learners and I want to welcome them back to school with a surprise.

I would like to create a distance learning care packet to help my students with their learning and process of their feelings. My students need supplies such as books to read, white boards, markers, and notebooks to support them while learning from home.

My Project

The materials will make a difference in my students' learning from home because by receiving these materials they will know they have support in their education, even though they are learning from home.

These materials are supplies to help them at home with their distance learning and to keep them active.

The notebooks will be used to draw/write journal entries, or express their feelings. The dice are a tool to help them with their math games and work. The white boards will give students the "hands-on" experience to interact with when we are on Zoom. The timers are to help students with fluency and reading while at home. The jump ropes are for students to stay active while the are at learning from home and just for fun.
