Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Some students do not have internet and have to borrow from friends and neighbors in order to attend my online courses. Most of my students have parents still working and have to be at their relatives' homes. My students come from low socioeconomic neighborhoods where they cannot afford to stop working and where their employers do not allow them to take time off.

My students have limited resources due to being heavily impacted by COVID 19.

In my classroom, we have lots of resources that the students were able to use in small groups. Now my students are using whatever resources they have in order to learn.

My Project

My students have limited resources at home. They come from low socio-economic neighborhoods and cannot afford to spend on non-essentials. I am asking for gift cards to buy resources that I can share digitally with my students. In the classroom, we had resources that I could use in my small groups but not from home.

Digital resources from Teachers Pay Teachers will help me connect my students' learning digitally.

I will be able to purchase leveled readers that can be differentiated according to level. I will be able to purchase reading comprehension passages that they can access from the comfort and safety of their own home.
