My Students

Every Child Belongs:

My elementary aged students come with a variety of interests, strengths, and challenges.

They are all curious, innovative and come in with various communication needs like, they may struggle to understand the meaning, pronounce a word/sound correctly. Others will arrive having a lot of experience with books and language, and some may be dual language learners. They might have disabilities or developmental delays that impact their learning,language, social skills, and/or behavior.

With the global pandemic and adapting the learning experience to digital distance learning is quite a challenge for them to visualize and understand the concepts. I love my students and it is an absolute joy to know each of them and work with them to help with the skills they struggle. They keep me constantly busy in making their speech activities fun, creative and challenging. They love different games, puzzles, and surprises. It takes in lot of time, materials, thinking for prepping the activities for these students. They is always need of materials and activities.

My Project

The materials from teachers pay teachers help students thrive with different activities. My digital library has resources with various activities for hands on learning, where students get remote access to move the contents on the screen. Each student needs a specific material to meet their goals. All the material need to be customized and tailored to help a student. During distance learning students get demotivated and loses focus on the screen when the activities are repeated. The voice quality without the headphone/microphone creates a vacuum between the therapist and the student.

In today's world "Technology is a tool for empowerment"—it creates a collaborative and innovative space for all students provided I can sustain their attention on the activities during the session.

With the teachers pay teachers card and headphone set (clearer teacher/therapist's voice), students will be able to work on creative/interested activities consistently towards meeting their goals. The students will be able to choose from the digital material library to work during the sessions. I will able to purchase apps and different resources for the students.

Every student deserves a chance to achieve their full potential. By providing the appropriate resources for a student’s particular situation, we will be enabling them to overcome their disability and grow their confidence. Nothing is more rewarding!
