Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from almost all low income and mostly Hispanic area. These students do not have access to many things that other students have, such as technology or parents who speak English. Many of these students do not have the help at home, that they need. Many of them are struggling students, with struggling parents at home.

With distance learning on the rise, they struggle to maintain a set schedule when they need extra help and have no one at home to offer assistance.

While working from home, it is important that I am able to offer as much help and support to my students as possible through remote learning.

Most of our students come from single-parent households who do not speak English, some of the students being students with exceptionalities.

Our school is located in a melting pot area. We have students from all over in Miami. Many students also come from single-parent families. All of these challenges only makes it harder for students to want to succeed, but it is our job to make sure that they do!

My Project

Having access to different types of worksheets and activities will allow me to help students that are struggling as well as students that are striving using online resources. Teachers pay Teachers have some great supplemental activities that can be used with instruction.

With the ongoing pandemic, it is essential to help reach all students digitally.

Having access to buy different worksheets that deal with the standards being taught will ensure all students are being targeted for excellent instruction. Although learning may take place online, this is something that can be transferred and used in the classroom as well.
