Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students in Miami, FL represent a wide variety of ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. Our school is a public charter school that specializes in STEM activities. My students love to be actively engaged in their learning and we do a lot of group work and projects. As a science teacher with a Bachelors degree and a Masters degree in Education, I love connecting science to the real world and try to find as many activities as possible to use them in conjunction.

My students thoroughly enjoy learning with technology.

I strive to provide my students with the resources necessary to learn through experience and technology. I also like to provide my students with a multitude of resources to enhance their learning and to ignite their passion for science.

My Project

These materials will allow my students access to online programs that will change the way we learn science. Flocabulary will allow the students to better understand science terms and vocabulary in a relatable way. Middle School Science Suite will allow the students to learn through interactive play. These programs will keep students engaged and capture their attention in the science classroom.

Through the use of technology, and individualized education, students will successfully master the NGSSS standards.

These online tools will allow them to keep their passion for science and technology alive in our classroom. They may also even inspire my students to become web designers, app designers, or eve musicians.
