My Students

My students are 4th and 5th grade students from New York City in a special education class. They are hard-working, happy students. My students come from low-income families and need every advantage they can get. They face many challenges outside of school, but they work hard in school to succeed.

They have the smarts and the motivation to be the best; let's give them the materials.

I want to ensure my students have all the necessary tools to compete in our challenging world.

My Project

Due to COVID-19, my students and I had to leave our beloved classroom behind. All of us are learning new ways to prepare them for the future. My students have made so much progress and worked so hard I don't want them to fall behind.

The children need basic virtual supplies on hand at home to continue learning.

This project includes teaches pay teachers gift card which I will use to create and enhance online lesson. Also Breakout EDU platform will allow all students and staff to collaborate safely and utilize their Social Emotional Learning skills.

We are living through scary, uncertain times so there are also a few items that will hopefully bring the students some comforts that will be used in a remote classroom.
