My Students

Since March 16, 2020, my students have been participating in distance learning. This has greatly affected both their education and my experience as a teacher. I have a diverse group of students each year that come with varying needs. As we continue to participate in distance learning for the upcoming school year, I am continuing to look for ways that will allow them to succeed as much as if they were in the classroom again.

Although we cannot begin our new school year face-to-face, I plan for my students to receive the same quality education as before.

Our district has developing programs that will allow all to access their online learning. As their teacher, I look forward to all of the upcoming interactions, growing, and learning that we will experience together!

My Project

Our classroom was lucky enough to receive a recently donated laptop through DonorsChoose and are ready to start the year strong. We are looking for many new ways to create fun and interactive lessons through our digital classroom and are in need of some accessories.

As we get closer to the start of the school year, I am looking for unique ways to teach my students with digital content.

With a gift card to Teachers Pay Teachers, I can purchase content for my students throughout the year, not just in August. As we adjust to our new learning environment, new teaching opportunities may arise and the digital content from Teachers Pay Teachers is perfect for me to assist my students.

Secondly, with the recently donated laptop, we want to make sure we have the accessories needed to protect it and connect to needed devices. The case will ensure the laptop does not get damaged throughout the year and the adapters will allow me to connect to my projector and upload other digital content for the students to use. This way, students can see examples in real-time and follow along as if in the classroom. While these may seem like small details, I am quickly realizing that attention to detail is going to be a big factor during our online transition in education.
