This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

How do you reach students of the 21st century? By going digital! Have you ever struggled in school with a lesson that was taught and then went home and struggled even more with your homework? My students require the extra support that IXL can provide in all academic areas.

We are a group of 25 special education 3rd and 4th grade students who are eager learners but require a little extra help.

We are in the regular classroom for most of the day but receive extra help from a resource room. We live in an inner city and attend a public school. We love to use our Chromebooks to access the Internet but sometimes don't know where to go to get the extra help we need.

My Project

IXL Learning is an online program that the teacher can utilize to differentiate the instruction for each student. On this site, the student would receive their own account that the teacher would customize for them. The teacher could assign tasks in the areas in which they struggle so that the student can either review the lesson or go home and practice. It will help sharpen their skills in all academic areas from Reading, Math, Science and Social Studies. After each assignment is completed, data is generated and shared with the teacher so the teacher can then adjust his/her lesson to further support the struggling students.
