This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students work hard on their creative projects in our new Computer Class. They love to have their work on display, but limited school printing resources combined with the very large number of students, prevents me from being able to print all their work for school displays.

My students are full of energy and creativity.

They attend an overcrowded school where over 95% of the students receive free lunch. I am teaching computers this year, a first for my school. For many of my students, this class is one of the few times they get to use a computer. My classes range from kindergarten to eighth grade.

My Project

In order to display my students' digital work, I need 2 digital picture frames to put in the display case by the main entrance and outside my classroom. These digital picture frames will allow me to display everyone's work, not just the handful I can afford to print. The frames will also create an eye-catching, out of the ordinary display for visitors and parents to see when they first come in the door. I was the art teacher for my school until this year. Now instead of art class, the students have computer class. I don't want them to miss out on expressing themselves creatively, so I include many creative projects, especial using the Paint application for the younger students. The students are used to me displaying artwork and can't understand the reasons why displays can't happen like they did before. Digital picture frames could solve this problem, and bring joy to my students.

I want to let my students know that every project they create on the computer is special and is worthy of public display.

These digital picture frames will also provide a great visual for visitors and parents to view as they enter the school.
