Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are highly engaged and innovative young adults. They come from low socio-economical homes. Our school is a Title I school, which means that the majority of our school qualifies for a free or reduced lunch which impacts my students greatly. I know that while they have the motivation, desire, determination, and skill to achieve greatness; many of them cannot afford the necessary materials to achieve their goals.

While our school is a Title I school, it has been able to maintain an A school status for years.

Our students are capable of great things. We, as teachers do all that we can to ensure the excellence of our students and to secure their future. I ask for assistance in getting my wonderful students there.

My Project

These items will help my students create interactive notebooks for social studies. Students can use the Cricut to create new foldables for their interactive notebooks. The computer will help my students create a digital assignments. In my class, students work in groups to research historical topics.

Students will also use the other items for STEM challenges.

My students create structures for each ancient civilization we cover. For example, when we complete Mesopotamia students will be building Ziggurats where a marble will need to run down a slope. For Rome, my students will need to build an aqueduct.

These items will help my students bring history to life!
