My Project

Spring is in the air, and my students are ready to dig into learning—literally! With a soil science field test kit and sample vials of different soil types, they’ll discover the fascinating world beneath their feet. This hands-on project will help my students understand how soil health directly impacts plant growth and sustainability, an essential lesson for future agriculturalists.

Using these tools, my students will analyze soil samples to learn about pH levels, nutrient content, and soil structure.

They’ll compare different soil types to see how each supports plant life, gaining a deeper understanding of why healthy soil is the foundation for thriving crops. These activities will prepare them for careers in agriculture and environmental science, all while fostering a love for hands-on learning.

My students are special because of their curiosity and eagerness to connect science to the real world. This project will provide a fun, engaging way for them to grow their knowledge—just like the plants they’ll learn to nurture. With your support, they’ll dig deeper into the role soil plays in agriculture and leave a lasting impact on their communities through sustainable practices.
