Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The 4th graders at our school are truly special. Their love for exploration and discovery has led them to this one of kind mid-unit project; digging for dinosaur fossils!

Students will spend 3 weeks studying the job of a geologist, as well as researching rocks and minerals.

This research will culminate with students digging through their own mini fossil bricks to eventually unearth a real-life dinosaur fossil as well as learn the history behind their fossil.

Once the project is complete, students will have the opportunity to take their fossil home in small bags to share with their family and friends. This will be a fun and inspiring experience that students will look back on years from now and truly cherish.

This project is for fossil bricks, trays, and magnifying glasses.
