My Students

In the library, we like to read, write, research, and complete projects!

The library is a place to take what you learned and apply your knowledge!

Our library is a makerspace for students to grow and be active learners through a hands-on curriculum.

Each morning as the students walk through the doors, many are facing struggles outside of school in their homes, as well as academically struggling in school. For some, English is not their first language, which also presents challenges. We are considered a Title I school, and there is a high population of low-income students. We put forth great effort to have the students meet their educational goals, as well as social-emotional skills to help them cope. Through all the ups and downs the students might face, they have an open mind to learning and love to discover and explore their interests in the library. The library is a place where students and the community can come together to collaborate and learn from one another.

My Project

We are ready for some DINO-MITE experiences!

Students are going to stomp into the library as children, and leave as paleontologists!

We are going to dig into the world of dinosaurs using our Touch and Learn Dinosaur Tablet. This tablet will further our paleontologists' knowledge and support our research on dinosaurs. Then, our paleontologists will be able to properly identify the type of dinosaur fossil they excavate in sand filled containers as well as chipping away at dinosaur eggs to see what type of dinosaur fossil is inside. Then, our paleontologists will create a dinosaur museum inside and outside of the library based on their learning and findings for the whole school to explore!
