Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The things I love about my students is being able to interact with them, and being able to learn from them. At such a young age, my students all come from different background experiences and have different stories. All the materials will be used toward our literacy workstations. The materials like the pencils, color pencils, and markers will help them during their independent writing stations, but also be engage in their own learning, the highlighters will assist them during small guiding reading group and word wall stations to highlight key words and vocabulary words, the construction paper will allow me to create foldable reference manipulatives and print workstations materials for them to use as guidance. The aromas will help the students stay calm, and finally the notebooks will be used as Interactive notebooks. The notebooks will help students track their knowledge and skill connections in their own learning style. All the materials on my Wishlist are tools that will enhances the student-driven classroom. My goal as a teacher is to help them understand the content of the literacy block workstations and to be able to make connections between what they are learning and their lives.
