My Students

My students are eager, intelligent, and energetic 5th graders. They live in a rural, high-poverty area, and many of them struggle with academics as well as behavior. I try to find new and fun ways for them to engage in learning to keep school interesting. All of my students have unique personalities. They keep me on my toes, that’s for sure! It is my goal to create a safe, student-centered learning environment that helps each student succeed. My projects will always be focused on that goal. I hope you will consider helping me give my students the best classroom experience possible!

My Project

I have a unique group of students whose abilities differ from the truly gifted to special needs. The curriculum available in the classroom doesn’t help me to adequately differentiate to meet my student’s individual needs. I would like to be able to purchase items from Teachers Pay Teachers to create a passion project for gifted students to explore their passions and put their skills to use. I would also like to be able to purchase intervention items that will help struggling students catch up, or at least make learning more accessible to them.
