My Students

Kindergarteners are little sponges and ready to learn. I want to use technology to help some of my students who have not had the exposure to our kindergarten curriculum. IPads are a great way to differentiate and give students what they need to master our goals!

My students are energetic and ready to learn.

Most come from middle class families who value a good education. Parents are very involved with their children's education and look for opportunities to help their kids be successful. Our school values the community and believes every child can succeed. We are a STEM (science, technology, engineering, & math) school that started off strong, but money has dwindled away and we are now trying to keep up with the times. Being one of the lowest student spending states in the country and not being able to pass overrides has made it difficult to keep up with the times. Our school and district is looking at any possible ways to keep moving forward ensure student success.

My Project

The students will be able to have personal accounts on many iPad apps that will be based on their ability level to ensure that they are getting what they need every day. The great thing about technology is it can be used for all subject areas and modified to meet individual needs. Each student can work on their weaknesses, at their ability level, and master the content they need through enrichment activities on the iPad.

With large class sizes and little aide support, it is difficult to meet the needs of every student every second of the day.

By using technology, students can enhance their own personal goals while I work with others. The iPad with warranty and case can then be placed into another child's hands with the switch of an app to help meet everyone's needs.
