Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I would love to provide our little ones with a classroom library full of books that represent their Hispanic ethnicity as well as other marginalized groups such as African Americans, Asians, and people with special needs. The children will be able to see their own lives, culture, and experiences reflected in the books they read.

This picture book library will help our little ones to develop a deeper understanding of other racial and ethnic groups.

This picture book library will allow our children to see themselves and other marginalized groups in the literature they read and develop a sense of value for multiculturalism. These books will help guide my lessons on diversity and will be used to help my students begin to understand the beauty of the world they live in.
