My Project

I am hoping for funding to support a dynamic and educationally enriching program for our third-grade students at our school. Our students will be learning to play the recorder, an instrument in the woodwind family, as part of our effort to introduce them to the joys of music and the skills necessary for musical and artistic expression.

The recorder, a woodwind instrument with a rich history, is recognized around the world as an accessible, fulfilling tool for lifelong musical engagement.

Through our recorder program, I aim to provide students with both technical musical skills and an appreciation for music as a form of personal expression. This program will introduce our third-grade students to the fundamentals of playing the recorder while fostering an understanding of various musical styles and traditions. Plus, who doesn't remember playing their first recorder.

Music education is a powerful tool that not only teaches technical skills but also enhances creativity, discipline, and collaboration. By introducing our third-grade students to the recorder, I will equip them with the knowledge and skills to pursue music as a form of lifelong artistic expression. I believe that this program will have a lasting impact on our students and foster a greater appreciation for the arts.
