My students (grades 5-12) are part of a special program for students with multiple severe/profound disabilities. Most of my students are non-verbal and wear disposable diapers. My staff and I spend a large part of our day making sure students are comfortable, correctly positioned, and toileted 3 times a day. While it is the responsibility of each family to send diapers, sometimes financial issues occur or the size needed is not available.
This project will allow me to have a stockpile of multiple sizes of diapers so that if a situation arises, we can quickly access the appropriate size diaper and care for the student.
Students can become very uncomfortable or even upset if they don't have on the right size diaper. This project will allow us to spend valuable time at school completing other tasks.
